As you may have noticed, as well as a new website, we’ve had a major rebrand.
From our very beginnings in late 2016, our main focus was to get people out riding and build up the UK urban scene. COVID times have made that goal pretty difficult over the last couple of years, so we’ve spent time working on some behind the scenes things which would normally take a back seat.
Our old website was great for the time but it had become out-of-date and was really slow. We’ve built this new site from the ground up, focussing on speed and a modern look. We realise that the main purpose of our site is to direct people to the group rides and as a platform to sell our merch. We’ve put these two things front and centre with a clear group ride section and a brand new, simple shopping cart.
We’ve also got a brand new logo, designed by trials world champion, Mark Fabian. Our old logo reflected the spirit of STFU; big, bold, in your face and not too serious but it was starting to feel dated. We wanted something a bit more modern looking which reflects what STFU has become over the last five years. Effortlessly stylish, simple and no bullshit.
As part of the relaunch we’re planning a line of new merch, which will be available in the new shop soon.
We've also had a re-think on how we run the STFU rides. While having a ride every month was needed to get the stoke back for urban riding in 2017-2020; since the lockdown, rides have been slowly getting fewer riders show up. We've decided to reduce the number of rides per year with the goal of making each one bigger. So, with that in mind, we have four rides planned for 2023; SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN and WINTER. We hope that more riders will be able to attend less frequent rides, more often. Take a look at the rides section on our homepage to see where the rides will be for 2023.
